Què fem a l’Ateneu Divers | Oci i Cultura Inclusiva a Catalunya
Ateneu Divers is a pioneering experience in inclusive culture and leisure in Catalonia. We develop social projects and recreational, cultural, sports, and educational activities centered on leisure as a right, a space for participation, and a tool for social transformation.
La nostra activitat s’adreça principalment a persones adultes amb diversitat funcional intel·lectual, però també impulsem propostes obertes a la ciutadaniaOur work is primarily aimed at adults with intellectual disabilities, while also promoting initiatives open to the wider community in order to create shared, accessible spaces rooted in community life.
On the one hand, we offer activities specifically designed for our participant members, fostering self-determination, social relationships, and the development of personal interests. On the other hand, we promote activities open to the neighborhood and the broader community, encouraging coexistence, active participation, and genuine inclusion in mainstream settings.
All of this is grounded in an , Ateneu based model, that places people at the center, promotes active participation, and understands leisure as a collective, meaningful experience connected to the local community.

Catalan Culture
We uphold and promote Catalan culture and language. We understand culture as a tool for cohesion, identity, and participation. We are committed to a culture rooted in the local context, accessible and shared, connecting people with their environment and community life.
Fostering Real Social Inclusion

Assembly-Based Participation
At Ateneu Divers, decisions are made collectively. We promote horizontal participation spaces where every voice matters and responsibility is shared.
Opening Ateneu Divers to the Community
We aim to be an open, vibrant space rooted in the local area. Our doors are open to anyone who wants to share, learn, and participate.
Working in Partnership with Social Agents
We collaborate with organizations, professionals, and institutions to build knowledge, increase impact, and develop shared projects with purpose and coherence.
