Our History

Ateneu Divers was founded in 1991 (as Grup Caliu) as a leisure initiative for adults with intellectual disabilities, at a time when this field had little social recognition. From the outset, the project was created with the aim of providing accessible spaces for meeting, connection, and participation..

Over the years, the organization has evolved and grown, adapting to the needs, interests, and motivationss of our participant members, as well as to social changes and the community context.

This journey has enabled the consolidation of a proprietary inclusive leisure model, based on active participation, self-determination, and community life, positioning Ateneu Divers as a solid project deeply rooted in its local area.

Today, Ateneu Divers has more than thirty years of experience and continues to evolve with a critical, committed, and continuous improvement-oriented approach .
